Commissioned by curator ︎︎︎Elisa Rusca for the group exhibition Into the Mu at Kunsthalle Bratislava, the work takes the form of a dystopian science-fiction paperback. The narrative is set in a near-future world recently devastated by a mysterious pandemic and explores memory, hauntings, information control and authoritarianism. A starting point in the conception of the novella was a story about the American actor Karl Malden including his original Serbian name (Sekulovich) in many of his productions. The Sickness, Book One was designed and published by ︎︎︎TFGC Publishing (Düsseldorf).
